Going shopping? Take your own bag. Having a shake? Refuse plastic straw. Thirsty? Carry your own water bottle. These are just a few ways to teach our kids about the environment. Similarly considering recycling, reuse and re-purposing everything which comes our way and getting kids to join us in doing the same is a wonderful way of teaching an environmentally friendly lifestyle.
When we demonstrate that family gatherings and kids parties can be done without disposable plastic plates, cups and spoons, we exemplify our commitment, need, urgency and duty towards our environment. Likewise, having a few planters or a kitchen garden and getting our kids to adopt plants goes a long way in bonding them with the mother nature.
