Monologue is when one person speaks and the other listens. Here we present to you “Two-Way  Monologue”. Two way monologue is when one person speaks and the other doesn’t respond to what is said but says something else entirely different.  The famous deflection tactic.

Two-way monologues are a serious and disturbing reality at homes, specially with kids. Kids say something and the parents don’t respond to that and instead pickup something else. Jumping the gun in a dialogue makes it a two way monologue. Realize when that is happening and course correct, else we will lose out on the opportunity of a dialogue.
